Hedley OWLS and LADY OWLS Home Basketball Covid-19 Plan
With basketball season beginning tomorrow, there will be some changes from what we are accustomed
to seeing concerning fan attendance and game day protocols at home basketball games. Seating will be
limited to a total of 180 spectators per contest. This is 50% of the total capacity of the Owl Gym.
Currently, face coverings are required while in the school building and the gym. We also ask that you
try to social distance responsibly. If you are feeling ill and have any symptoms related to COVID-19,
please stay at home and we will see you at the next game.
Entry into the games will require the purchase of an online ticket. Tickets can be found online at
www.ticketleap.com. Search Hedley ISD and it will bring up events for Hedley ISD home basketball
games. Tickets can be purchased for a price of $3 each using any major credit/debit card. Tickets will be
purchased online for both Junior High and High school games throughout the season. Ages 4 and up will
be required to have a ticket. Hedley ISD will not be selling tickets at the door or making change. You
must purchase your ticket online and bring proof of purchase (an e-ticket on your phone or a printed
version of your purchased ticket) to the school to be admitted into the game. You will not be allowed in
without proof of purchase of a ticket.
Tickets may be purchased online all the way up to game times as long as tickets are available. Once 180
tickets have been sold, no other tickets will be available and you will not be granted entry into the
gymnasium.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience that these new protocols may have. We understand these are
major changes and they will take some time to get comfortable with. Hedley ISD appreciates your
support and willingness to adhere to the new protocols so we can have a great basketball season for the
Owls and Lady Owls. Get your tickets at www.ticketleap.com.
Thank you,
Garrett Bains

NOTICE: Suspension of Remote Learning Option
Hedley ISD is suspending remote learning effective at the end of the 2nd six weeks, which is Friday, November 6th 2020. The only exception will be for those students who are instructed by health care providers to quarantine due to close contact exposure or a positive test for COVID-19.
During the 1st six weeks of instruction Hedley ISD saw a low incident rate of positive COVID-19 cases (less than 2 hundredths of a percent) and the entire state of Texas has a reported 0.2% positive cases in over 1.1 million students who were enrolled in school during the same time.
