All students riding the Memphis bus have been placed in the storm shelter here at school until we get an all clear from the Sheriff's office.
Mrs.Lindsey's class collected 19 pounds of can tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House. Thank you to everyone who helped them collect throughout the school year!
HHS Graduation will be on May 16th in the library at 7:00 p.m. Senior students will be given 20 tickets each and these tickets will allow those holding the tickets into the library @ 6:00. All others attending without a ticket will be allowed in at 6:30.
May 3 is an early release day. We will have NHS induction ceremony at 9:00 followed by an elementary play day @ about 9:30-11:00 followed by lunch and a JH/HS play day from 11:00-12:00 followed by lunch. Students will be released at 12:30.
Final STAAR test for the 2023-24 school year will be on Wednesday, April 24th. The tests will be 6th grade Math, 7th grade Math, and 8th grade Math. All JH students need to bring a fully charged computer along with their chargers in order to take these tests. Rest up and eat a good breakfast. This is it! You can finish strong!

On April 15, 2024, Hedley ISD School Board of Trustees approved the hiring of a new principal for the 2024-2025 school year. Brandi Moffett of Clarendon will be joining Hedley ISD as the principal. Please join us in welcoming her to our school community! Here's a small introduction of Mrs. Moffett:
My name is Brandi Moffett. I am so excited and honored to able to be the principal at Hedley ISD. I was raised in Amarillo, TX. I have been married for ten years to my husband, John, and we share six kids and two daughter in laws between the two of us.
We are excited to add our first granddaughter to the family this summer! After an 18-year career in accounting and finance, I started my education career in 2018 teaching 3rd grade at Claude. I have taught in Claude, Amarillo and Clarendon. The folks at Hedley ISD have been so kind to me, and I look forward to working with them in the coming years. Please make sure to introduce yourself when you see me! I look forward to meeting you!
Reminder: Hedley School Secretary, LaRae Shaw Alexander, is battling breast cancer. In the Hedley Owl family, no one fights alone. The fundraiser is designed to show visual and financial support to LaRae and her family during this time. All orders are due this week by Wednesday, May 1st. Please feel free to come by or contact the school to place your order.
If there are any children who would like to participate in T - Ball or Coach Pitch this year: sign up will be held at the baseball field in Clarendon April 24th and April 25th between 4 and 6pm. For T- Ball children must be 5 to 6 year's old and for Coach Pitch children must be 7 to 8 years old. Registration cost is $40.00.

ALERT: High School parents, the Activity Banquet has been set for May 7 at 6 pm. Tickets will be on sale in the office for $13.00. Only parents are invited due to limited seating if you plan on coming we need to know and all monies are due by the 26th of April. Make sure you bring your ticket to the Activity Banquet. Thanks.
Hedley FFA is taking orders for t-shirts. Orders are due this Friday, April 19th.

All tests are online, so we need to be sure that computers are returned to school charged along with the charger to ensure it will be ready for testing. We encourage all students to get a good nights rest and eat a healthy breakfast either at home or school in order to be ready for the tests. Keep up the good work!
